Close contact with positive case of COVID-19
Please be advised that the Sagamok Anishnawbek EOCG has been informed that the community has been in close contact with a positive case of COVID-19.
At this time, those potentially impacted in our community are isolating in their homes, monitoring themselves for symptoms as they await testing and engaged in supporting contract tracing efforts.

Be advised that there are zero confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Sagamok Anishnawbek community.
EOCG support teams have been mobilized to assist those who have been impacted.
Residents and visitors to the Sagamok Anishnawbek community are urged to remain diligent in protecting themselves and others from COVID-19.

As a precautionary measure, it has been decided to close Biidaaban Kinoomaagegamik and Shki Waase-Aaban Binoojiinh Gamik for the interim.
It has also been decided to suspend non-essential group-based programming until further notice.
The EOCG will continue to assess the situation and provide updates as they become available to ensure our community remains informed.
