The Administration department is the first point of contact for public and community members accessing programs and services and the office of the Chief and Council.
We are committed to building and maintaining relationships with community members and the public. We are accountable and responsive to our community members in accordance to policy and procedures and cultural values which includes the Seven Grandfather teachings.
What we do
The Administration Department provides consistency in the programs and services offered to the members of Sagamok Anishnawbek and meet the quality management standards.
The Administration Department is the responsible for ensuring the departments attain the organization's vision, objectives, priorities and strategies.
How we do it
Sagamok Anishnawbek is an organization that is driven by the Sagamok Anishnawbek Community Story and the Community Development strategies. The program and services are based on both the Community Story and the Community Development strategies. Sagamok Anishnawbek is a dynamic and growing organization that is responsive to new and emerging opportunities.
Sagamok Anishnawbek has adopted an integrated model of administrative management which calls upon the departments to collaborate and bring together all available community resources to achieve benefit for the community members.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sagamok Anishnawbek, Alan Ozawanimke, leads the organization through workplans to achieve the goals and action items from the Community Story and the Community Development strategies. This is done through collaboration with the Chief and Council and the organizational departments.
Finance Department
Payroll and Benefits
This unit ensures that the payroll and benefits are processed for the employees.
Medical Transportation Cheques
The medical transportation cheques are issued every two week on Friday.
Payments to Individuals or Suppliers
The finance department processes payment for individuals and suppliers, weekly and semi monthly.
Human Resources
The Human Resources (HR) Department is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and selection processes, implementing the Sagamok Anishnawbek Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual with the goal of promoting harmonious employee/employer relations.
The department assists with the coordination for the training and development needs of employees; the dispute resolution process and the employee assistance program.

Communications
The communication unit provides support to the organization, with the coordination of the monthly newspaper and communication services through this website and social media.
Information Technology
The Information Technology provides technical support for all departments of Sagamok Anishanwbek.
