COMMUNITY NOTICE June 22, 2022

On-Call Nurse Management Schedule

Dear Sagamok Community,

For the most part, we have been seeing low numbers of COVID-19 cases in the Sagamok community since late winter. This past month, these numbers have remained at “0”cases or very close it.

Effective immediately, our Community Wellness Pandemic Health Team that assists our community residents if they are confirmed to be positive for COVID-19 will no longer be available on weekends and holidays.

These nurses on our Community Wellness Pandemic Health Team will be available during regular business hours (Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm) to assist those with COVID-19 through recovery and finding the supports they need.

Please be advised that this service change will be reassessed as the conditions around the pandemic changes and if needed, the on-call case management service may return if needed.

Miigwech to our community residents for being the reason why our numbers have declined. Please continue to practice all the safe prevention behaviors you have learned through this pandemic to stay healthy. As always, you remain our first line of defense.

We would like to remind community residents of the importance of getting vaccinated for COVID-19. Getting the vaccine can help protect both you and others from the virus.

It also remains important to test yourself if you notice any COVID-19 symptoms and to report your positive results to our Community Wellness Pandemic Health Team by calling (705) 865-2171 (as above, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm) to help contain the further spread of the virus into our community.

Miigwech. Be well, safe and caring.
