Weekend Maintenance: Highway 7300 (formerly Main Access Road)

Issue February 21, 2020

Please be advised that we are expecting above freezing temperatures this weekend.

Anticipating the impacts of the expected thaw on our roads infrastructure, particularly of Highway 7300 (formerly the Main Access Road), our Road crews will be out tending to this stretch of road as well as other problematic areas to ensure the safety of all traffic.

We remind all traffic to abide by the 50 km/h speed limits and to be mindful of our work crews, exercising caution around work equipment and work sites. We also remind all traffic that snowplows have the right-of-way.

Miigwech for helping us keep our community’s roads safe for everyone!

A thaw is expected this weekend in Sagamok and we know the impact that this can have on our roads—especially the Main Access Road that is currently under a seasonal break in its construction work.

Anticipating the impact on our roadways, our Roads crews will be out tending to our roads this weekend.

We ask that all traffic exercise caution when using our roadways, being mindful of the safety of our crews and all traffic, and following the posted 50 km/h speed limits.

Remember that snowplows have the right-of-way!
