Create Friday: May 11, 2018
Writing can be a great way to set and track goals, reflect on your thoughts and emotions, and express your gratitude. According to a study in the Journal of Psychosomatic Research journaling can reduce stress and improve quality and duration of sleep.

SAGAMOK Observes MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

One in five Canadians will experience mental illness at some point in their lifetime.

One of the biggest hurdles for anyone experiencing mental illness is overcoming the stigma. It is the number one reason why many of those living with a mental illness do not seek help.

May 7th to the 13th, 2018 is Mental Health Awareness Week.

The theme this year from the Canadian Mental Health Association is Get Ready to #Get Loud.

The Mental Health Team in Sagamok Anishnawbek invite you to participate in activities throughout the week. Together we can break down barriers and make a difference.

We encourage you to get the conversation about mental health started. No one is alone in this fight. When "I" is replaced with "we" illness becomes WELLNESS. It's okay to not be okay. Our Mental Health and Addictions team are here to help. If you or someone you know needs support, please reach out.
